Amanda Hunter, Transformational Coach

I am the mum of a lovely wee boy named Rhys. I have also been offering support for pregnant and new parents for over 15 years.

My greatest teachers have been the people who I have had the privilege of working with and my son. They have taught me the importance of feeling confident to experience ease and joy in my life – especially during pregnancy and with a new baby. Coaching has really supported me to build my confidence in a number of areas of my life, including as a parent. My experiences of coaching and its benefits inspired me to train as a coach and continue to be coached on a regular basis.

Through my previous work with parents and my own challenging maternity care journey, I have a good understanding of the importance of healing from distressing or traumatic perinatal or reproductive experiences so that you can really build your confidence as a parent. When we are feeling good in ourselves, it is so much easier to grow our confidence. My desire to help other parents to heal motivated me to train in the TBR 3 Step Rewind method.

Confidence building is also why feel called to teach Dancing for BirthTM classes. Dance has been a huge part of my healing journey in my life and it has brought me so much joy. Dancing with others has boosted my confidence in myself and my body massively as I forced myself out of my comfort zone when attending dance classes.

I feel passionate about supporting people to heal, helping to building confidence and transform their lives.

I started working with parents as a birth doula. And after completing my training as a birth educator, I facilitated yoga for pregnancy. I also have experience of working around perinatal loss and offering trauma support.

During my masters degrees in medical anthropology and psychology, I focused my studies on parental mental health and birth experiences.

More recently, I trained as a transformational coachDancing for BirthTM instructor and to use the TBR 3 Step Rewind method. I have found all of these supports beneficial during pregnancy and my early parenting journey and would love to share them with others.

I mainly work online although it may be possible to arrange sessions in person if that is what you would prefer.
